A Drainage Strategy for Crescent Street: Integrated Retention

A detailed analysis of the property’s flood vulnerability based on water table data, stormwater flood estimates, and lot elevation led us to develop a mitigation strategy for both rooftop and backyard runoff – one that also helps the neighbors on both sides.  

The final design – integrated into an elevated, modern garden with clean lines and a textured palette of greens and whites – includes a downspout diversion, dual French drains, and two Flo-Well detention basins (dry wells), each with the capacity to manage a 50-year storm.
