Scope: design project management, woodwork, masonry, planting, maintenance
A three season planting in the atrium at the Meatpacking pop-up of luxury fashion brand Loro Piana, features a colorful variety of fall and winter specimens, including evergreens, poncirus, salix, yellow, orange, and red berries, heather, wintergreen, and evergreen ferns.
Drawing inspiration from nearby High Line Park, the atrium’s spring and summer plantings featured densely grouped native perennials: rhus, ilex, fothergilla, aronia, amsonia, alliums and grasses.
In addition to the atrium, a living wall—a felted pocket system that supports more than 500 plants—stretches across the full width of the facade. Planted and grown ahead of time (in a dozen four-foot sections) at our Bedford-Stuyvesant workshop, the wall features several varieties of ivy, tassel ferns, liriope, dichondra, and clematis.
